There are moments in every fitness journey that stand out — milestones that mark growth, courage, and new beginnings. 21 September 2024 was exactly that for Mororiseng FitnessZone as our founder and lead coach took on an exciting new challenge: teaching Aerobic Step for the very first time at a major event.
Hosted by the dynamic Jay_Fitness, the aerobics marathon brought together instructors, fitness lovers, and high-energy vibes from across South Africa. It wasn’t just a workout event — it was a celebration of movement, unity, and pushing beyond limits. And for us, it was the beginning of a brand-new chapter.

Teaching Step aerobics for the first time was a powerful and humbling experience. It was more than just stepping on and off a platform — it was about rhythm, coordination, energy, and most importantly, connection with the crowd. I was nervous, yes. But the moment the music started and the participants began to move with me, everything just clicked.
The support was overwhelming. Smiles, laughter, synchronized movement — every moment reassured me that I was exactly where I needed to be. I felt encouraged by the crowd and uplifted by the presence of my fellow instructors who had traveled from different provinces to be part of this memorable day.

As always, South African Aerobics was there with cameras rolling and lenses flashing, capturing every kick, step, and smile. They documented the entire event — from warm-ups to cool-downs, and everything in between. Their media coverage not only allows us to relive these beautiful moments, but also inspires others who couldn’t attend to see what they missed and join in next time.
Being able to watch myself teaching Step for the first time, seeing the crowd respond with joy and energy — it’s a memory I will cherish forever.

This was just the beginning of my Step aerobics journey, and it won’t be the last. The excitement, the movement, the connection — it’s all staying with me as I continue to grow as an instructor and as a brand.
We’re already planning to bring Step aerobics classes to Mororiseng FitnessZone, and I can’t wait to see how our local community embraces this new format. If the marathon is anything to go by, we’re in for something truly special.

To Jay_Fitness — thank you for the opportunity. To every instructor who shared the stage — thank you for the inspiration. To everyone who stepped with me that day — thank you for making my first Step class an experience to remember.
Here’s to more movement, more growth, and more unforgettable fitness moments!!!!
